There are many styles of pulling lines available today. Typically pulling tapes are Kevlar and polyester. Kevlar will have a yellow tint and polyester will usually be white in color as a standard. Tapes will usually have a footage marker stamped or embossed to show the correct length inside a conduit during a pull. Rope will be manufactured from yellow polypropylene and will be twisted or braided strands. Light duty pull line is sometimes used inside buildings for pulling lighter cables or to aid in pulling back a larger rope or tape. Light duty pull line is made from polypropylene. Because of the diameter of this material, the pull strength is somewhat less then Rope or Tape |
